EPS Tip of the Month

Nov 30, 2014

Here in North Texas the seasonal changes from Fall to Winter happen quickly, often changing drastically within a couple of weeks. At Emergency Plumbing Service we would like to continue offering tips that really are useful.

1) Disconnect outside water hoses, because we all know what happens to water when it freezes- it expands. Expansion causes faucets and connecting pipes inside your place of business to freeze and break. So safe yourself and your business some money, disconnect those outside water hoses.

2) If you place of business is equipped with interior shut off valves leading to outside faucets, close them and drain the water from the outside lines.

3. Check the temperature setting on your water heater’s thermostat. Set at 120ºF for optimum performance.

Check back in a couple week for updated tips!
