Common Commercial Plumbing Problems

Feb 11, 2015

USE

Faucet/Fixture Leaks:

Leaky faucets or fixtures costs you money and wastes water. These leaks are usually caused by worn out gaskets, O-rings, and damaged seals. This problem may seem small, but it can turn into a big problem causing structural damage.

Clogged Toilets/Drains:

If you come across a clogged toilet or drain, turn off the water as soon as you can to avoid overflow. To avoid clogs in kitchen sinks, do not pour greasy substances down the drain. Some clogs can be taken care of with a plunger, however in some cases you will need a sewer snake. It is important to fix this problem as soon as you can in order to avoid water damage.

Problems with your Water Temperature:

If your water is too hot, or not hot enough, it usually means your water heater needs an adjustment. If your water heater is leaking, it is probably failing.

Sewer Odors:

This is caused by water in the pipe below drying up. By pouring small amounts of a special liquid odor blocker down your floor drains every few months, you can prevent these odors.

These problems can be prevented, and sometimes handled without a professional. However in the case that you can’t handle the problem, call EPS as soon as you can so we can help you fix your problem.
